BPW Foundation

BPW USA was founded in 1919 and the National Business and Professional Women’s Foundation was established in 1956. In 2009, the two organizations merged under the name BPW Foundation.

The Foundation was established to create research, information, career development programs, workshops for training, and scholarships to women who needed financial assistance. Over the years, BPW Foundation has provided over $6.4 million in scholarships.

The website www.bpwfoundation.org is a bit dated, but check our their' current Facebook page.

BPW/PA is a legacy partner and uses many of the programs of BPW Foundation, including the Young Careerist, Women Veterans, and Women in the Green Economy programs under the Empowered Workforce umbrella. As a BPW/PA member, you also have access to BPW Foundation resources!

PA BPW Foundation

BPW/PA was a 1919 charter member of BPW USA. The PA BPW Foundation was established as a separate entity in 2008. Donations support the Scholarship Fund, the Edith Oler Flanigan Grant, or the new Sharon A. Walsh Memorial STREAM Grant.

The Scholarship Fund provides grants for individuals to further their education. The Edith Oler Flanigan Grant provides funds for members to draw upon in emergencies. The Sharon A. Walsh Memorial Grant provides a grant for BPW/PA members employed in the education field (K-12) to stimulate children and promote thinking and creativity.
